Recently, I had the honor of being invited to the Salon Project, located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Saks Fifth Avenue Brookfield Place location. It's a unique and innovative concept in retail, beauty, and service. The Salon Project, by Joel Warren is designed to provide a fabulous bespoke environment; maintaining the fun and enjoyment of the consumer experience. With it's custom built-in beauty stations, the client can receive various services while in one chair, creating a more relaxed experience. Each station has a sink in front of the chair, a mirror in front of the sink, and retail surrounding the mirror. Clients can have retail showcased to them while getting their haircut, colored, textured, etc. There is also nail professionals on the scene and even a physician on staff overseeing a med spa component. I enjoyed a Signature manicure from Sundays Nail Studio while sipping on Makers Mark cocktails. It was truly a relaxing and rewarding experience, topped off with some dope tattoo work from Rivington Tattoos, which has a booth in the window of the second floor of Saks. Needless to say, my day turned out pretty fab!!!! Til next time....
